Leeandria “LeeLoo” Marie Rose (°1991, Danville, IL, United States) currently living and working in Chicago, IL. I am an artist who works in a variety of media with concentrations in creative writing, musical composition, and mixed media art. I often create intense personal moments meant to evoke emotions and complicated thoughts by any means possible. I am the creator of poetics, abstractions, social and political awareness, fictional and experiential universes, and identities. Often times coming from the edge of alienation, neurodivergence, morality, and mortality. The works I create can contentwise shift from simplistic, chaotic, dreamlike, dark, and rehabilitative with the occasional shifting meanings. Catharsis has always played a key role. I incorporate a variety of strategies from free-flow creation, use of muses, and known processes to execute constructive ideology or calls to action. My work is saturated in the notion of innovation and wisdom with both oblique and obviousness, mental inertia and mental chaos, clichés and bad jokes, and callouts to humankind on being better. Approach my work like candy you’ve found on the floor.
Perhaps if I and we could be a God, a creator, we could all find a way to express ourselves instead of being harmful entities.
